The New Center for One Korea hosted its first UN Youth Diplomacy Program in Geneva, Switzerland, gathering 25 young leaders from August 28 to September 2, 2023. Working with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and the Geneva Institute for Leadership and Public Policy (GILPP), the program focused on understanding the UN and its relationship to the Korean Peninsula's future.

The United Nations (UN), with its deep ties to the history of the divided Korean peninsula, is a vital partner in shaping the future of a unified Korea. The UN Youth Diplomacy Program in Geneva connects Korean youth with the UN. This program creates meaningful opportunities for young people to engage with the United Nations, bringing the vision of a unified Korea closer to reality while developing leadership skills in the next generation.

The program features lectures and workshops at UN headquarters covering peace values and Sustainable Development Goals, visits to organizations like the Geneva Peace-building Platform and Geneva Citizens Hub, and discussions with Swiss lawmakers in Bern about Swiss national ideology and political systems. This Geneva UN Youth Diplomacy Program, fostering Korean youth leadership in an international setting, will continue annually as a cornerstone program of the New Center for One Korea.
